SELF-PUBLISHING
Publish your book on Amazon (KDP)
Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) doesn’t offer a way for any app to publish for you — you upload the files yourself, which keeps you in control of pricing, rights, and royalties. NFE Studios gives you the two files KDP needs. Here’s the whole path.
Heads-up: KDP requires you to disclose AI-generated content when you publish. Your book contains it, so answer “yes” and describe your role. You’re responsible for the rights to everything in the book.
1
Write & illustrate your book
Create your story and illustrate every scene in NFE Studios. Use
Illustrate all so the whole book is done in one pass, with a consistent character on every page.

Export your files (the 📕 Publish button)
In the production studio, open
📕 Publish and export:
- EPUB — for the Kindle eBook (reflowable text + your illustrations + cover).
- Print PDF — choose a KDP trim size (e.g. 8.5×8.5 for picture books or 6×9 for novels); it’s exported with print-safe margins.
3
Create a free KDP account
Go to kdp.amazon.com and sign in with your Amazon account. Add your tax and bank details once so you can be paid royalties.
4
Start a new title & add details
Choose Kindle eBook (upload the EPUB) and/or Paperback (upload the print PDF). Enter your title, author name, description, keywords, and categories — the same keywords your book targets help readers find it.
5
Upload your files & a cover
Upload the EPUB or print PDF. Add a cover (you can export a page from NFE Studios as your cover art, or use KDP’s Cover Creator). Use KDP’s previewer to check the layout.
6
Disclose AI content, set price & publish
Answer KDP’s AI-content question (yes — describe how you used AI), set your price and royalty option, and hit Publish. Amazon reviews it, usually within ~72 hours, then it’s live.
