AI ILLUSTRATE MY MANUSCRIPT

Upload Your Manuscript & Get It Illustrated

Already wrote it? Bring your own story, script or book and turn it into illustrated pages — we keep your exact words. Paste the text or upload a .pdf, .txt or .md file, and NFE Studios lays it out into scenes ready to illustrate.

Design consistent character art for every page, animate stills into video, give characters voices, and export an illustrated book or a narrated film from the manuscript you already have.

How do I get my manuscript illustrated with AI?

Paste your text or upload a PDF, TXT or Markdown file. NFE Studios keeps your exact words and splits the manuscript into scenes or pages. You design the main characters once, then illustrate each scene, add voices if you like, and export an illustrated PDF or compile a film.

  1. Import your text

Paste the manuscript or upload a .pdf, .txt or .md file. Nothing is rewritten; your words stay exactly as written.

  2. Review the scene breaks

The text is split into scenes or pages ready to illustrate. Check where each break falls before you start making images.

  3. Design your cast

Create each main character once, in a chosen art style, so they look the same in every picture.

  4. Illustrate and export

Generate an image per scene, animate stills into video, add narration or character voices, then export a PDF or film.

Real pages made in NFE Studios

These pages are from Wings of a Dream, our own illustrated series, written and illustrated in the studio. The same characters stay consistent from page to page.

What does an illustrated manuscript page look like?

Your original passage appears unchanged, paired with an illustration of the moment it describes. The image description shows what the engine draws, using your character designs. Here is an example page built from a short passage of a made-up manuscript.

Illustrative example — fictional manuscript
PAGE 12 · from "Salt and Cedar"

YOUR TEXT (unchanged)
"The ferry horn sounded twice, and June knew she had
missed it. She sat down on her suitcase at the end of the
dock and watched the island get smaller, the way you watch
something you've decided not to want."

ILLUSTRATION
A late-afternoon dock in muted blues and greys. June — the
same character as earlier pages: thirties, green raincoat,
short dark hair — sits on a battered brown suitcase, her
back to us. A white ferry shrinks toward a pine-covered
island on the horizon. Gulls wheel overhead.

How do I prepare a manuscript for illustration?

Start with a clean, final draft, since your words stay exactly as you upload them. Clear chapter or scene breaks help the text split sensibly. Before illustrating, write down how each main character looks, so their designs match the way you describe them in the text.

  • Finalize the text first

Fix typos and finish edits before importing. The engine won't change your words, so mistakes come through too.

  • Mark scene breaks

Use chapter headings or a marker like *** between scenes. Clear breaks give cleaner illustrated pages.

  • Write a character sheet

List each main character's age, hair, clothes and any signature item. Use it when you design your cast.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload my own manuscript to be illustrated?

Yes. Paste your text or upload a PDF, TXT or Markdown file, and NFE Studios lays your exact words into scenes or pages you can illustrate. It works for picture books, novels, short stories and scripts. You design the characters, choose the art style and decide which moments get pictures.

Will it change my writing?

No. Your words stay exactly as you wrote them. The engine only splits the text into scenes and reads it to suggest what each illustration should show. You stay in charge of the visuals too, and you can regenerate any image that doesn't match your vision.

Can I turn my existing script or book into a film?

Yes. Illustrate each scene, animate stills into short video clips, assign voices to the narration or characters, add music, and compile everything into one film. It's a way to make a book trailer, a pitch for a screenplay, or a narrated version of a story you've already written.

Do I need the rights to the manuscript?

Yes. Only upload writing you own or have permission to use. If you plan to sell the illustrated version, use pay-as-you-go, which removes the watermark and includes commercial rights. The free plan adds a watermark and doesn't include commercial rights. See our copyright page for more.
