AI MOVIE SCRIPT GENERATOR

AI Movie Script Generator

Turn an idea into a real screenplay — proper sluglines, action lines and character dialogue — without staring at a blank page. NFE Studios reads your concept, asks the questions that shape the story, and writes a complete, correctly formatted script you can keep building on.

Then go past the page: illustrate every scene with consistent character art, give each character a voice, and compile the whole thing into a narrated film.

How does the AI movie script generator work?

You describe your film idea in a sentence or two. The engine reads it, asks about genre, length and characters, and shows you a writing guide to approve. Then it writes the script in screenplay format, scene by scene, so you can read it, revise it and take it to film.

  1. Pitch the premise

Give a logline or a rough scene. Name the lead, what they want, and what stands in the way, if you know it.

  2. Set the shape

Answer tailored questions about genre, runtime, rating and tone. Approve the writing guide, which lists the scenes and beats before pages are written.

  3. Get formatted pages

The engine writes sluglines, action lines, character cues, parentheticals and dialogue. Use Engine notes to tighten a scene or sharpen a line.

  4. Storyboard and film

Illustrate each scene with consistent characters, animate stills into video, add voices and music, then compile the film or export a PDF.

What does an AI-written screenplay look like?

It looks like a standard screenplay page. Each scene opens with a slugline naming the place and time. Action lines describe what we see, in present tense. Character names sit above their dialogue, with short parentheticals for delivery. Here is a short example of the format.

Illustrative example — written for this page
EXT. HARBOR DOCK — NIGHT

Fog rolls over stacked crates. MARA (30s, soaked raincoat)
crouches behind a forklift, a flashlight cupped in her hand.

A van idles at the far end of the pier. Headlights off.

                    MARA
          (whispering, into her radio)
     They're early. Nobody told me
     they'd be early.

                    DEV (V.O.)
Then stop talking and count them.

She lifts the flashlight. Clicks it once. Twice.

The van's headlights snap on — pointed straight at her.

What makes a good screenplay?

A good screenplay shows story through action and speech, not explanation. Scenes are short, every scene changes something, and the page stays easy to read. The engine writes to these habits, but your choices about character and conflict matter most.

  • Write what the camera sees

Action lines should describe sights and sounds, not thoughts. If an actor can't play it and a camera can't film it, cut it or turn it into behavior.

  • Enter late, leave early

Start each scene as close to the turn as you can and end once it lands. Ask the engine to trim openings that only set the table.

  • Give every speaker a want

Dialogue gets sharper when each character wants something in the scene. Tell the engine what your leads are after, even in small moments.

What you get

Frequently asked questions

Can AI write a full movie script from an idea?

Yes. Describe your concept and NFE Studios asks a few questions about genre, length and characters, then writes a complete script in screenplay format. You approve a writing guide first, so the scenes follow the story you want. After that you can revise any scene with Engine notes or rewrite it yourself.

Is the script formatted like a real screenplay?

It uses the standard elements: sluglines, action lines, character cues, parentheticals and dialogue, plus transitions where they help. The exported PDF keeps that layout so it reads like a screenplay. If you plan to enter a contest or send it to a studio, check their formatting rules and make final adjustments in your own screenwriting software.

Can I turn my script into an illustrated film?

Yes. Generate an image for each scene with characters that keep the same look, then animate stills into short video clips. Give each character a voice, add music, and compile everything into one narrated film. Each of those steps uses tokens, so you only pay for the parts you actually make.

Can I use the script commercially?

On the free plan, exports carry a watermark and don't include commercial rights. Pay-as-you-go removes the watermark and includes commercial rights, so you can pitch, sell or produce the work you make. See the pricing page for details, and the copyright page for how AI-assisted work is treated.
