This Privacy Policy explains how NFE Studios (“NFE Studios”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and creative-writing and production tools (the “Service”). The legal entity operating the Service is Restored Technology LLC, located in South Carolina, USA. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, first name, authentication data, and the date you confirmed you are 18 or older. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
- Camera and face images — when you use Live, your camera video is sent in real time to our video providers to turn you into a character. If you make a character from a photo of yourself, that photo is used to create a stylized (never photorealistic) character.
- Content you create or upload — the ideas, prompts, answers, generated text, images, characters, materials (including files you upload such as images, video, and PDFs), and book layouts you produce in the Service.
- Usage & analytics — first-party analytics such as page views and a randomly generated visitor identifier (stored in your browser), and aggregate product usage (e.g., counts of creations and generations).
- Device & log data — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Payment information — if you purchase tokens, payment is processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card details.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service and your creations.
- To generate text, images, audio, and other outputs you request (see “AI processing” below).
- To authenticate you, maintain your account, and enforce plan limits and credits.
- To understand product usage in aggregate and improve the experience.
- To communicate with you about the Service, security, and support.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
AI processing & third-party subprocessors
The Service uses third-party providers to deliver core functionality. When you generate content, the relevant inputs (e.g., your prompts, scene text, and reference images) are sent to these providers to produce the output:
- Anthropic — text generation and analysis (Claude).
- OpenAI — AI image generation.
- ElevenLabs — text-to-speech narration.
- Decart — real-time AI video for Live (your camera feed in, the character video out).
- LiveKit — real-time video transport for Live, video calls, and streaming to platforms you choose.
- Runway — animated backgrounds made from your images.
- Google and Apple — sign-in, if you choose to use them.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing (token purchases).
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We encourage you not to submit sensitive personal information in prompts or uploads.
Camera, Live video and face photos
- Your camera is only used while you have Live open and have allowed camera access in your browser.
- We do not record or store your camera feed. A Live session is only saved if you record a take and choose to save it to your library; you can delete it at any time.
- Photos you upload to make a character are stored privately in your account so you can reuse the character, and you can delete them at any time.
- Characters made from photos are always stylized (cartoon, illustrated, 3D and similar), never a realistic copy of you or anyone else.
- We do not use your camera video, photos, or creations to train AI models.
- When you stream to TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, or another destination, or post to TikTok, the video you send is governed by that platform’s terms and privacy policy.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the subprocessors above to operate the Service, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Aggregate, de-identified analytics may be used to understand and improve the Service.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage for essential functionality (keeping you signed in, your preferences, and a visitor identifier for analytics). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Data retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual creations and uploaded materials at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us through our contact form.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and database row-level security that scopes your data to your account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage and delete much of your content in-product, or contact us through our contact form to exercise your rights.
Children
Accounts are for adults 18 and older. The Service is not directed to children, and children may not create accounts. Parents and guardians may use the Service with their children under their own account and supervision. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us atour contact form and we will delete it.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
